It is a graphically updated version of Qix that I had on the C64 many (many) years ago now. A simple premise but addictive nonetheless. It is a short game but would still serve as a quick and easy time-filler once you've beaten it.. A simple concept where you run along the edges of a map trying to claim territory by leaving the relative safety of the border and grab a small (or large) area by linking it back to the border. It's been done before plenty of times, but it's not a bad implementation of the concept.Things get hard later on, to the point where it primarily gets frustrating (black dragons...) but it's cheap, and as long as you go into it with low expectations you could get some fun out of it.. Just a tiny advice; if you buy Fortix 2, you'll get all the maps of Fortix 1 with it.. It's a nice little game, but this should be like unlimited levels, and more objectives as this is like 10 levels with some multi levels in it making it about +/- 20 in total. You will finish it in about an hour. You have 4 difficulty levels but doen't change a lot to the game. If this was random like Rogue legacy, SPAZ, Cargo commander i would respect it a lot, in this case i Can't recommend it. Its is way to small, to easy and way to short.4/10. Ahh, Fortix... Where to begin? Think about the best game you've ever played. Got it? Now think about what if that game had a love relation with a god of your choice... Pretty sexy, am I right? Imagine the love child of your favourite game and a god. A masterpiece forged in heavens. Ladies and gentlemen, that would be Fortix. I cannot think of any defect in this artwork and I honestly feel bad for everyone that hasn't played it yet, to the point of having rivers of tears falling from my sad eyes. Ever since I laid eyes on this "game" (such an offensive and futile denomination for such wonder), I started seeing life with different eyes. For exemple, I was a sad human being and wanted to end my own suffering... But now, fortix is all I ever think about. I now have a reason to live, and a new hope for tomorrow. For those of you who took the time to read my felt review, my deepest gratitude. I hope you take my advice and make a good action for both the developers and yourself.. Extremely addictive and very low price. a winner. As it stands, however, I found Fortix a mediocre experience that just didn’t grab me as much as I thought it might.
